Water Deviant (color)

back to the mask imagery. I have a few more "masks" to show in this series.

My previous posting (The Magician) received quite a few comments, so I may explore using more poetry in some of my creations a bit more. I do have some early attempts at this from a couple of years ago. I'll post these first to see what ya'll think.

The Magician

The Magician

From within the Wall,
the magician emerged.
Quiet, was his manner,
his steps were with purpose

His gaze never wandered,
his movements from experience.
No sleight of hand,
this Magic is real.

He left with Awe in his wake,
a master of his art.
An equal, not known.
The experience, well-known.

Infrequent are his visits,
even shorter are his stays.
We watch for a glimmer in the wall,
whenever and wherever we may go.

something a little different with this posting!!

General (color)

Color and pattern fits pretty darn well in this one, I think. Though when I started, it cam upon by accident. Maybe subconsciously I was thinking about using shades of army green. Anyway, it fits the title!

Quartz Deity

Though this is number 3, I have finished with the color for all of the masks in the Line Draws a Mask" series. I'll be posted all of the colored versions over the next few days. I spent more time on this than I had planned or thought would be needed, but looking back over the works, I am satisfied with what transpired on the "screen" after leaving the contents of the creative mind where it was generated (Oooooo! sounds deep!)

Hope you enjoy and come back to see the rest!

Emperor (color)

So, I went back to the "Line Draws a Mask" series and added some color. (seems to be a theme recently with my abstract pen and ink work) I am curious to know what ya'll think about the re-visits with color.

Monster Mash at the Circus

Inspiration found me working and this is what I cam up with. I actually haven't drawn something brand spankin' new for a couple of weeks (other than the Sam's World toons).  I'm about 75% done with the programming part of the website, and this has taken up most of my "free" time. (The "re-invented" site should be up by the first week of May)

So, enjoy this "new" work, and more "color" versions of the "30 in 30 for 30" series and the "Line Draws a Mask" series will be posted over the next few days.

Line Draws a Mask, Final

Webface

this is the final piece in this particular series. I will be going back to this series and adding color to the mask images. Be on the look-out in the future!
