Lino Cut: Series 2 #1

"Hungry Ghost"

first pic: original lino-cut
second pic: digital work

As with the first series, I am using a lino-cut square as a starting point for each of these digital abstract works. The lino-cuts squares are done by Knicki Markolf, she then uses these in her print-making pieces. One can see Knicki's work at www.rainbowcrowstudio.com.

My process is scanning each square into photoshop and start experimenting. Simple but amazing in the direction the process travels.

Enjoy!

Snow Bench

Since I am in between series right now, I thought I would post one of my favorite photographs from a few winters ago. I have a new series of works coming up that I have collaborated with the multi-talented, Knicki Markoff. (one can check out her work at http://www.rainbowcrowstudio.com/knicki-markolf.htmlI have once again borrowed some of her square lino-cut pieces to use as a starting point for my digital work. I should have a few of these ready to post within the next few weeks.

Rabbit Totems

Two rabbit totem designs.  Both are from a main design, however, second image is without the teeth. One might just be the next inkwork I get done. . .
