Thus begins a new Series

DRACULAS: Bouquet

so I'll get to the "DRACULAS" in the title in a moment.

This digital painting starts a new series of digital paintings that is in collaboration with a fellow artist and good friend, Knicki Markoff. Knicki and I met while we were at ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design) and have remained close since. Knicki is an awesome artist and works in Printmaking, Sculpture and Drawing. She works out of her studio and gallery, Rainbow Crow Studio and Gallery here in Calgary. Her "contribution" to the paintings is the linocut (first image) which I have, in turn, scanned and re-worked in Photoshop. Lino-cuts are used in reduction prints.
(You can view Knicki's work at her site, www. rainbowcrowstudio.com

Now, for the title.
 "DRACULAS" stands for:
Digital Reproduction Abstract Compositions Using Linocut Abstract Squares
