Citizen 2

This drawing was inspired by my becoming a Canadian citizen. After a long process, I am now a citizen of the country I have been living in for the past 19 years.  The "2" in the title refers to my dual citizenship as I still retain my citizenship of my homeland, the United States. I started drawing this piece as I was waiting to take my citizenship test. I don't do "last minute" studying because if I can't answer the questions the day of the test, any additional studying minutes before the test will either confuse or hamper what I already know or I'll waste time trying to figure out "What should I be studying these last few minutes?" Besides, drawing is relaxing and got me in a calm and comfortable state of mind to take this test. It works for me!!

Coming up, I will be re-visiting the "30 in 30 for 30" series and adding color to some of the artwork and posting on the blog. As well, more "Line as a Mask" series artwork coming also.

Cheers and Enjoy!! and hope all had a fabulous St. Patty's Day!!
