This piece got its start as an traditional acrylic painting. I had liked the color combination in the painting and decided to see what I could do with it after scanning it into photoshop. The original image has been twisted, down-sized, split, re-sized, quartered, rotated, pushed, pulled, and twirled, among other effects, so much so that only the colors remain as anything used from the original. Overall, I went through two dozen "layers" before getting the piece to look the way I wanted it to and felt satisfied with it. It also took me a few days to "get it". But sometimes, the greater the struggle, the more satisfying the accomplishment.
